Claritin Eye Allergy Drops
Using Claritin Eye Allergy Drops
Claritin eye
allergy drops use Oxymetazoline as a topical decongestant to help to improve the normal allergic reaction of watery or red eyes. These reactions can be caused by hay fever, dog or cat fur or any other similar
allergenic that can affect a person. These are not for use by someone trying to treat an eye infection--only for treating an allergic
reaction.
Even something as simple as eye drops can have side effects, so a person should only use them exactly as they
are supposed to be used. This means following your health care providers instructions. Rarely, when using these eye drops can cause a worsening
of the eye irritation or eyelid retraction. If you are using these drops you may suffer an increase in your heart rate, higher blood pressure or
an increase in sugar levels. Any sign that may point to these side effects should be reported to your health care provider immediately. Certain
medications do not interact well with this kind of decongestant. So, if you are using diet pills or antidepressants this may not be the best
choice of medication to use. Discuss the options with your health care provider.
When taking Claritin eye allergy drops be certain to follow
the dose as it is stated on the bottle. This should not exceed two drops pre use and no more than four times daily. As well, treatment
should not exceed seven days. If you wear contacts it is suggested that you take them out. Depending on what it is you are reacting to you
should find a significant improvement to the eye irritation by the third day.
